Sintra a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

One of the most beautiful and charming places around Portugal, located about 30 minutes away from Lisboa inside the Natural Park of Sintra where important Figures and Monarchy from  Europe decided  to stay at Sintra spending Summer Holidays and some of them decided to buy properties. Sintra village is surrounded with beautiful Royal Palaces and Chalets and handicrafts shops and pastries shops . We can visit a Palace

and enjoy the atmosphere of our village.

Queluz located about 15 minutes from Lisboa, is a beautiful national palace that served as the official royal residence during the 18th century while the mad queen Dom Maria I was hid away from public view. She was married with Dom Pedro III (Prince Regent). Dom Pedro IV of Portugal / Dom Pedro I King of Brazil  was born in the Palace of Queluz.

We can visit amazing french gardens and  the different rooms inside the Palace. After lets go on our way to Sintra located on the west side of Lisboa known to be a Romantic and Charming place  where important Figures and Monarchy from  Europe decided  to stay at Sintra spending Summer Holidays and some of them decided to buy properties. After that lets visit the  westernmost point of Europe where the land ends and the sea begins (The words of a famous portuguese poet Luis de Camoes)  where we can see the beautiful coastline.  After that we are heading to Cascais passing by Guincho where I advice the clients to have lunch (Meal not inclueded) at the seaside …… After a nice lunch brake going towards the town of Cascais returning to Lisbon by the seaside road (Marginal) .

On this tour, you will visit the south part region of Tagus River located about 45 minutes from Lisbon. We will cross one of the Brigdes of the river to go to  Palmela.

The 12th-century castle of Palmela preserves the medieval atmosphere of the brave soldiers that once defended the Portuguese coast offering astonishing views over the city of Setúbal and its bay. The tour will continue along the Portuguese countryside until you’ll reach a selected Wine Estate where the art of winemaking awaits you. This region is famous for their Moscatel Wine production. Arriving at Setúbal we will visit a famous portuguese  fish market where you can see the different products of Portugal. After it’s time to explore the marvelous scenery of the Natural Park of Arrábida.

A amazing place with unique species of fauna and flora it also provides incredible views over the Atlantic Ocean. Our direction it will be Sesimbra known to be a fishing village with a nice castle from the  12 th century where we can have our lunch. After lunch (meal not included) we will visit a wine cellar and taste the famous moscatel.  At the end we will go to Lisbon.

After leaving Lisbon on our way to Évora, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage City.

We will take part of the Motorway and after we will drive by countryside of Alentejo,  for a beautiful sightseeing tour by car.

At Évora, we will have enough time to know the  historical center and “feel” the atmosphere of this town. After reaching the Fortified Wall of the  city you’ll see the a famous church of St. Francis and its Chapel of the Bones. Giraldo square famous because of Inquision and Giraldo Square has the name of the outlaw that help our first king of Portugal to conquer the city, after we will admire  Roman Temple and have quick look  at  12th-century Cathedral. In the already distant 16th century Évora known by culture and traditionof the  University. We will pass by the small narrow streets with handicrafts shops.

Alentejo know because of the Wines / Olive Oil / Black Pork / Cork and a lots of delicious porducts, I advice the clients to have a brake to lunch ….

We can visit a Winery to taste the famous Red and White wines of Alentejo Region that they are considered one of the best wine Region.

The region is also known for the quality of its nationally recognized handicrafts, such as the pottery, the country’s first pottery center, and the famous Reguengos blankets. We will walk around to know the village and after we will go back to Lisboa.

After the lunch break we will visit  Óbidos our medieval village surround with fortified walls that is unique, we will taste a famous cherry morello liqueur that is served on a small chocolat cup and of course we will walk around to feel the medieval atmosphere of Óbidos.

Coimbra the City of Knowlodge located about 205 kms / 124 miles from Lisboa. Our direction will be of Portugal

When we arrive at Coimbra we will see one of the best views of the City, the main atraction of Coimbra is our University founded in 1290 by King Dinis, behind the walls of the University we can find a fountain of Knowledge, we can visiti the St Miguel Chapel, our Library that keeps important collection of books and we can visit different rooms inside the University….After we can feel atmosphere of the medieval streets of Coimbra, at the downtown of Coimbra we have a unique church called St Cruz  that represents the Pantheon of the 1st Dinasty of Portugal. Mealhada is famous because of our delicious roasted suckling Pig that you will have the opportunity to taste one of the Portugueses delicacies…

OPorto considered World Heritage by UNESCO since 1996, known by local inhabitants so called Tripe Eaters and their local Gastronomy “Tripe Eaters and Francesinhas”. You will have more than enough time to explore the Church of São Francisco known because of the gild wood carving . This old simple gothic Franciscan church is now known as “the cave of gold” in an astonishing exhibit of wealth and power. Right next door you’ll find the Stock Exchange Palace with incredible granite work and magnificent neo-Arab influences.
